About Bristol24/7
Bristol24/7 is the South West’s biggest and best independent magazine and website, and your first port of call to find out what’s happening across Bristol with news, features, what’s on listings and everything in between. You’ll find it all here on our website and across our social media.
We provide high-quality, independent news and features from our team of experienced and talented journalists. Our ethos is to be independent, honest and transparent, and uphold the highest editorial values.
Our award winning work experience programme provides real life experience to a wide range of young people, including those who would not usually get opportunities to develop skills in the media industry. More than 500 people have gained work experience at Bristol24/7 HQ with many going on to follow careers in journalism. Some are now working at national newspapers.
In 2017 Bristol24/7 launched an ambitious social impact programme delivering projects that have changed the lives of many who live in the city. These projects include How To Be A Chef, a bi-annual 12 week course aimed at young people who aren’t at work or in other education. The course delivers practical qualifications, invaluable experience and has directly led to many graduates gaining permanent employment in the industry.
In 2018 Bristol24/7 launched Better Bristol, an initiative to bring together its social and environmental aspirations, support its editorial independence and build a collaborative approach to making a better Bristol. You can find out more about Better Bristol here.
Bristol24/7 is a Community Interest Company, which means the title is a protected asset, owned by a wide spread of shareholders from across the city. The lion’s share of any future profits will be reinvested back into the company and ongoing projects in the community of Bristol.

Slavery and human trafficking statement
Bristol24/7 is a Community Interest Company and Bristol and the South West’s best and most trusted website and free monthly magazine. We are committed to acting ethically in all parts of our business to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place. As an independent media publication, integrity is extremely important to us.
All of our employees have fair employment terms, are paid at least the National Minimum Wage and receive paid holiday in excess of the statutory minimum. We are also committed to developing our staff and many of our employees started with us as work experience students.
Bristol24/7 operates a supplier policy and maintains a preferred supplier list. We conduct due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier. This due diligence includes an online search to ensure that particular organisation has never been convicted of offenses relating to modern slavery. Our anti-slavery policy forms part of our contract with all suppliers and they are required to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this policy.
As an organisation we provide regular updates on modern slavery at our monthly staff meeting.
We also actively support campaigns and charities through our media publication relating to modern slavery prevention, for example Unchosen. We also work closely with the local police in order to report on and raise awareness of these issues.
