Barcan+Kirby bags major Inclusion and Diversity award
A leading Bristol law firm, Barcan+Kirby, has been honoured with the prestigious Inclusion and Diversity Award at this year’s Business Leader South West Awards.
The ceremony, held at Aerospace Bristol on September 19, saw the firm’s head of Marketing and Business Development, Lucy Harttrup, and executive partner, Anna Wilson, accept the trophy on behalf of the team.
Lucy Harttrup, chair of the firm’s ED+I committee, shared her excitement about the win. She said:

“The firm has made tremendous advancements in the area of equality, diversity, and inclusion over the past few years, and we take great pride in our diverse and inclusive workforce. We aim to create an environment where every person feels comfortable in bringing their whole selves to work”

The South Bristol-based law firm is no stranger to receiving accolades for its commitment to inclusion and diversity.
In recent years, the firm has made significant strides in enhancing its working culture. Key initiatives include the formation of an ED+I (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) committee, partnering with the Muslim Employment Charter, becoming members of the Bristol Women in Business Charter, and actively working towards Menopause Friendly Accreditation.
