Bristol’s emerging talent shines at boomsatsuma exhibition
Bristol Film School at boomsatsuma is proud to present “Blossom Season,” the 2024 Graduate Photography Showcase, opening this Saturday at the prestigious Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in Bristol. This exhibition features outstanding work from the first graduating cohort of the BA (Hons) Documentary Photography and Print program.
Running from June 15 to June 30 at the Royal Photographic Society, located at 337 Paintworks, Arnos Vale, Bristol, the exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday to Sunday, 10am-5pm. A special private view and reception will be held on June 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with tickets available upon request.
The showcase includes innovative photography covering a diverse array of subjects, from sports to fashion, demonstrating the high level of creative and technical skills honed by the students. The unique degree, led by award winning photographers, emphasises hands-on experience and industry engagement, with a strong focus on the art of photography.
Sam Fordham, head of photography at the Bristol Film School, expressed his pride in the students’ achievements: “It’s a privilege to see our students’ hard work and dedication culminate in this outstanding exhibition. Their ability to tell powerful stories through photography is a testament to their talent and the supportive, dynamic environment we strive to create on our photography degree.”
From June 16, the exhibition will be open to the public, offering an excellent opportunity for artists, industry professionals, and the local community to engage with the next generation of photographers. Admission is free, and many of the exhibited works will be available for purchase.
