Celebrating a year of Better Business
Bristol24/7 recently celebrated a year of Better Business, an initiative that helps local businesses thrive while creating a positive impact throughout the city.
Part of Better Bristol, Bristol24/7’s campaign to make the city better for everyone, Better Business brings together organisations from the private, public and voluntary sector to collaborate on projects and make a real difference to people’s lives.
Bristol24/7 wanted to take an opportunity to thank the businesses that support this work with a celebration at the Arnolfini.

A pre-celebration meeting at The Architecture Centre was a chance to explore new ideas
Taking place on Wednesday, December 4, representatives from Better Business members including Colston Hall, Workbrands, UWE Bristol and ELM Legal came to the event to meet other business members, enjoy refreshments and hear what has achieved over the last 12 months.

With the support of key partners including UWE Bristol, University of Bristol, Wapping Wharf, Resonance and Unite Students and around 60 business members, Bristol24/7 has provided a voice for underrepresented communities, created opportunities in a number of sectors, addressed barriers to entry and a lack of diversity in certain industries, supported charities and organisations to make a difference at a grass roots level, helped SMEs build a sustainable business and much more. You can see our annual impact report here.
As part of the event, Bristol24/7 proudly launched the new Better Business Bristol magazine and outlined plans for the next 12 months, which include the launch of a series of events in partnership with the Arnolfini.
As well as all this, guests got an exclusive first look at a new Better Business video made by Tusko Films, hear from numerous business partners and enjoy free drinks and snacks from Kate’s Kitchen.
The evening was one of real celebration for what has been achieved, as well as a collaborative discussion and reflection of what Better Business has done and what can be achieved in 2020.
