Dial A Geek becomes National Cyber Security Centre’s Assured Service Provider
Bristol-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) Dial A Geek has achieved the esteemed status of an Assured Service Provider, recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
This milestone grants Dial A Geek the exclusive designation of NCSC-recognised cyber advisor, affirming their capability to deliver top-tier cyber security services.
The Cyber Advisor Scheme, operated by the NCSC in partnership with IASME, is designed to promote the dissemination and application of trusted cyber security advice. It specifically targets small and medium-sized businesses, offering reliable and cost-effective cyber security guidance and practical support.
A core element of the scheme is the cyber essentials certification, a UK Government-backed initiative that helps businesses safeguard against common cyber threats and demonstrates their commitment to security—a crucial factor for government contracts and major partnerships.
As an approved cyber advisor, Dial A Geek is equipped to assist organisations through several critical services. These include conducting cyber essentials gap analyses to identify shortcomings, developing comprehensive reports on Cyber Essentials controls, and working collaboratively with businesses to plan and implement necessary remediation activities.
Additionally, Dial A Geek offers post-engagement reports summarising completed work and providing recommendations to mitigate any residual risks.
Moreover, Dial A Geek’s certification as an IASME-certified Cyber Essentials certification body means they can facilitate the entire certification process internally. This streamlined approach allows businesses to achieve certification swiftly and affordably, while ensuring adherence to the highest standards set by the NCSC.
