Free event offering small businesses the chance to understand and develop their green credentials
More than 60 per cent of small businesses could take actions to improve their environmental impact but fail to do so. Bristol24/7 and The Planet Mark Start are teaming up again to offer small businesses the chance to understand and develop their green credentials.
Better Business presents: Building a Sustainable Business on Thursday, October 24th 2019 at Origin Workspace on Berkley Square to explore the business case for developing a sustainability plan and the tangible benefits of doing so.

Speaking on behalf of Better Business, Managing Director Ben Wright, said:
“In many ways Bristol is undoubtedly leading the way when it comes to addressing the climate emergency. As the first city to aim for carbon neutrality by 2030 and a number of major Bristol institutions following suit it’s great to see momentum growing. It’s also encouraging to see that there is more enthusiasm for collaborative working and to engage in networks with social and environmental goals. We believe it’s important for us to use our platform and connections across the city to maintain the momentum and encourage more businesses to engage in discussion and find ways they can take action.”
Backed by ERDF funding, the free workshops, events and training will help a business to build the ‘business case’ for sustainability. Incorporating elements of social, environmental and energy efficiency to create a green solution which works for them.
