From stress to success: Jawad’s quest to transform airport travel
In the competitive landscape of airport transportation, one company is prepared to transform the customer experience beyond expectation.
Meet Jawad Burhan, the founder and chief executive of Tick Taxi, a company that is making its mark in the airport taxi market by delivering more than just a ride – peace of mind.
Tick Taxi was born out of Jawad Burhan’s vision to redefine what airport transportation should be. The idea struck him while working for a ride-hailing company.
One day, he encountered a panicked customer desperate to reach the airport on time. The customer recounted a frustrating experience – being let down by a taxi company that ignored his calls and waiting 45 minutes for a ride through a ride-hailing app.

Although this experience is not unique, Jawad realised that many travellers have faced similar stress and uncertainty.
Jawad identified the core problem: ride-hailing drivers often avoided airport jobs due to low fares, while the apps charged high fees and took significant commissions, making these trips unappealing for drivers.
Seeing both customers and drivers suffer, Jawad thought something had to change. “I realised that people who care about service reliability and timing are suffering from these apps,” he explained. Determined to turn travelling from a nightmare into an unforgettable experience, Tick Taxi was born.
At the heart of Tick Taxi’s success is an unwavering commitment to outstanding service and reliability. Jawad believes that every journey should be stress-free, which is why Tick Taxi is designed to be easy to use and highly dependable.
“Our mission is simple yet powerful: We deliver more than a ride; we deliver peace of mind,” said Jawad. This dedication to customer satisfaction has earned Tick Taxi a reputation for going above and beyond to meet the needs of its customers.
Jawad’s journey to founding Tick Taxi is as inspiring as the company’s mission. With a background in marketing and operations, Jawad started Tick Taxi as a solopreneur and quickly scaled the business.
Within the first eight months of operation, Tick Taxi completed over 2000 airport and city-to-city rides, showcasing the immense demand for their exceptional service.

Jawad’s entrepreneurial spirit was influenced by his father, who started a school bus company in their home country. Tragically, his father passed away two years after starting the business, leading to its closure. This experience left a lasting impact on Jawad, fueling his passion for the transportation industry and his commitment to building a successful company.
Tick Taxi’s rapid growth and growing reputation have not gone unnoticed. In 2023, the company won the Quality Service Innovation Award, solidifying its position as the leading airport taxi specialist in Bristol. Jawad believes that this recognition highlights Tick Taxi’s dedication to providing the best customer experience possible and their transparency.
Looking ahead, Jawad has ambitious plans for Tick Taxi. The company is developing an innovative app. Once launched, this app is set to revolutionise airport and corporate travel, offering a seamless and stress-free experience.
“We’re not just a taxi service; we’re a travel partner,” Jawad explained. Tick Taxi aims to raise investment and expand its services to cover major airports worldwide, becoming the go-to app for all international airport transfers.
