Inside Travel Group brings a slice of Japan to Bristol
Bristol-based travel company, Inside Travel Group with its Asia cultural adventure specialist brands, InsideJapan and InsideAsia is bringing a little slice of Japan to its central Bristol headquarters this November.
The B Corp travel company is teaming up with the rural Toyama region of Japan, who will be over in the UK for a number of travel industry events, with Bristol being their only venue outside of the capital.
The contingent from Toyama will give a small presentation on this area that sits between the Japanese Alps and the Japan Sea Coast.
The event will also have a demonstration from fourth-generation lacquerware craftsman Takeshi Musashigawa and the team will be bringing sake from the region for a tasting session together with some snacks.

“Toyama is certainly not a well-known travel destination, but it is places like these that make Japan so special,” said Simon King, co-founder at Inside Travel Group
InsideJapan’s travel consultants who have lived in or travelled extensively across the country will also be on hand to share travel advice.
Simon King, co-founder at Inside Travel Group, said: “We are very excited to be welcoming Toyama to our hometown of Bristol and introducing this special region of Japan.
“InsideJapan has always worked with regions and communities across the country such as Toyama, full of beautiful scenery, incredible cultural experiences and amazing people. Toyama is certainly not a well-known travel destination, but it is places like these that make Japan so special. As a B Corp, we are about ‘travel for good’ and Toyama is the perfect example of that.

The InsideJapan & Toyama Cultural Adventures free event will be held on November 9 at Inside Travel Group’s Electricity House headquarters and will introduce some of this hidden region’s top attractions, including UNESCO-listed villages, unique crafts and food, complimented by a lacquerware demonstration, sake tasting as well as some snacks.
King added: “This is the first ‘Cultural Adventures’ event that we have held in Bristol and there will be more to come. Bristol has always been a bit of a cultural hub, and we want to be a part of that.”
