National Friendly raise over £2,500 for Bristol Autism Support with charity quiz night
National Friendly, a mutual society headquartered in Bristol, recently played host to a charity quiz night in support of Bristol Autism Support, their designated charity of the year.
The event, held at the Hilton Doubletree on Thursday March 21, saw enthusiastic participation from various local suppliers, including HybrIT, Verve, DAC Beachcroft, and Spark. Among the contenders, the team ‘Life’s a Beachcroft’ representing DAC Beachcroft emerged victorious, clinching the charity shield, with Barry from HybrIT securing victory in the heads & tails competition.
The quiz night proved to be a resounding success, with attendees rallying behind the cause and collectively raising over £2,500 for Bristol Autism Support. Members of the charity were also present.
Martyn Love, chair of National Friendly’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee, expressed his gratitude, stating, “I would like to thank everyone for supporting our charity of the year, Bristol Autism Support, by attending our annual charity quiz, where we raised over £2,500. I am pleased to say fun was had by all, and a special congratulations to DAC Beachcroft for being the winners on the night.”
National Friendly has been steadfast in its support for Bristol Autism Support since March 2023, having raised over £6,500 thus far. The decision to nominate Bristol Autism Support as the Society’s charity of the year was influenced by the organisation’s outstanding provision of support, advice, and information to parents and caregivers of autistic children, both diagnosed and suspected, in Bristol.
