NOVUS joins the Better Business network

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Jun 12, 2024

At NOVUS Education, the focus is on transforming the experience for children and staff in schools by providing exceptional support and resources. Recognizing the immense pressure schools face today, including juggling PPA time, staffing costs, agency expenses, and the rise in children with additional needs, NOVUS aims to ease these burdens, allowing schools to concentrate on teaching and inspiring their students.

The NOVUS team specialises in PE and Music curricular delivery and offers expert provision in Forest School, SEND, and CPD. They deliver consistent, high-quality teaching and tailored programs that meet the unique needs of partner schools. This approach ensures that every child has access to enriching learning experiences that foster growth and development.

NOVUS Education’s mission is to help schools overcome staffing and budget constraints while significantly impacting children’s educational experiences. With a 95% school retention rate and 15 years of experience, NOVUS has a proven track record of success. The organisation already makes a difference in the lives of 3,500 children weekly across Bristol and BANES.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Partnering with NOVUS also brings additional benefits, such as new revenue streams from letting out school facilities, CPD events for staff, support during OFSTED visits, and innovation meetings to keep schools at the forefront of education. NOVUS works closely with the communities of their schools, engaging with parents on Development Club programs to spark opportunities and new passions.

NOVUS is committed to recruiting inspiring individuals who will leave lasting memories on the children and adults they work with. Continuous improvement throughout the business, at all levels, is a vital part of NOVUS’s growth and response to challenges.

Joining the Bristol Better Business group allows NOVUS to be more involved in the local business network, observe the fantastic work happening across the city, and make a difference through collaborative projects. The owner Alex Starkie finds personal importance in volunteering time to local causes, particularly with children, and raising money through events. Additionally, connecting with like-minded business owners and continuing professional and personal development are key aspects of involvement, along with sharing both good and bad stories along the way.
