Outstanding Level 3 Diploma results for boomsatsuma’s creative arts students
Boomsatsuma College marked a bumper year in its Level 3 Diploma results this year as they registered an excellent set of results for their 131 students, with a 100 per cent pass rate yet again.
From this cohort, 60 per cent achieved a Distinction or higher, graduating from five courses in Creative and Digital Media, Film and Television Production, Games VR and VFX, Sports Media Production and Photography Collective.
Boomstasuma pinpoints this success to excellent student to staff ratios, nurturing students’ individuality, which has seen outstanding retention and attendance throughout the year, underpinning fabulous results.

Luke Fazackerley, head of boomsatsuma, said: “The superb graduating class of ‘24 have put a lot of hard work and effort into their studies.
“These students have produced excellent work throughout, met live client briefs with enthusiasm and professionalism, with a great team of tutors pushing students to create outcomes beyond their years.”
The students have benefited from boomstasuma’s strong ties with creative employers across the West Country, with curriculum’s incorporating projects centred around ‘live client briefs’.
Finding their creative passions means that many of the cohort have secured places across respected UK universities to extend their skills.
15 per cent of students will be staying with boomsatsuma to start their new chapter in their creative educational journey through boomsatsuma degrees at our Bristol Film School and Creative Technology Centre.
Fazackerley added: “It is really exciting for us to see these students grow through the last two years, acquiring skills that will equip them for their chosen next step and beyond.
“We pride ourselves in the comments from employers when they describe the qualities of resilience and professionalism that have become synonymous with a graduate from boomsatsuma.”
Ensuring students have a strong destination is enshrined within boomsatsuma’s mission, the career trajectory sometimes takes them beyond the obvious career path into the creative sector.

Out of this batch, students will progress into very competitive apprenticeships not just in the creative industries but also with Nokia, Civil Engineering and the RAF. While these are not traditional routes for boomsatsuma, it is undoubtedly a testament to the skills taught and learnt on the course that enable graduating students to gain competitive roles, using the creative skillset they have learned, alongside boomstasuma’s support for careers advice and guidance.
Started in 2011 with 11 students, boomsatsuma has become an award-winning independent educator for local creative industries.
