Pizzarova introduces reusable pizza box and deposit scheme

By Bristol24/7  Friday Sep 6, 2024

The popular sourdough pizza chain in Bristol, Pizzarova has announced the launch of their new reusable pizza boxes.

As Pizzarova celebrates 11 years of serving delicious pizzas and being recognised as one of the UK’s top 50 pizza places, they are taking steps to address sustainability with their new reusable pizza box.

Kieran Reynolds, head of sustainability at Pizzarova, said: “We’re thrilled to start this project to reuse old materials. Our ethos when developing our sustainable practices at Pizzarova has been to focus on everyday wins; energy supply and useage, waste reduction and of course, packaging.”

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Made from recycled plastic, the box aims to reduce cardboard waste going to landfill.

Jack Lander, co-founder of Pizzarova, added: “Pizza, people, and the planet are at the heart of Pizzarova. We are always looking for innovative sustainable solutions to everyday problems, this is a great example.”

The reusable pizza boxes, are available to purchase at their Gloucester Road shop initially for £9.95 or also for rental in a scheme where customers can rent a box free of charge for seven days. The boxes will be available at all sites in the next couple of months.

Pizzarova started in 2013 with a mobile pizza oven in a Land Rover, serving sourdough pizzas around Somerset. Encouraged by a growing fan base, they opened their first shop in Bristol and now have four locations in the city.

Staying true to their mission of providing “good-mood food on the go,” Pizzarova make their sourdough balls fresh everyday and use the best local suppliers for its ingredients.

Pizzarova’s pizzas are available for dine-in, click-and-collect, and delivery through UberEats. They also cater for large events. For more information, visit Pizzarova.com
