Professional Apprenticeships Earns Outstanding OFSTED Rating in Bristol

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Oct 11, 2023

In a resounding recognition of their dedication to providing top-notch apprenticeship training, Professional Apprenticeships, a Bristol-based institution founded by Carina Bush and Adam Rooke in 2016, has been awarded the prestigious “Outstanding” rating by Ofsted, the official body for inspecting schools, colleges, and other educational establishments. This remarkable achievement underscores the commitment and dedication of Professional Apprenticeships to nurturing the careers of apprentices in the fields of digital, technology, marketing, and business.

The “Outstanding” rating awarded to Professional Apprenticeships is a testament to the institution’s exceptional track record. An impressive 100% of their apprentices have achieved a first-time pass rate in End Point Assessments, with a remarkable 81% earning the distinction designation. Carina Bush and Adam Rooke, former apprentices themselves, attribute their success to their firsthand experience of kick-starting their careers through apprenticeships.

Ofsted, in their report, praised Professional Apprenticeships, stating that “Apprentices receive continually improving, high-quality teaching that develops their knowledge, skills, and behaviors, resulting in nine-tenths of apprentices achieving a merit or distinction in their final assessments.”

Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Carina Bush said, “We’ve worked so hard to deliver the best recruitment, training, and support to our apprentices and employers, and the whole team is immensely proud of this achievement. We have lived and breathed apprenticeships for so long and are excited to support more apprentices and employers throughout England.”

In an era where high-quality training providers are indispensable, Professional Apprenticeships not only helps employers meet their recruitment challenges but also offers individuals a gateway to fulfilling careers. The symbiotic relationship between Professional Apprenticeships and Bristol’s thriving digital and technology sector exemplifies the transformative potential of apprenticeships for both individuals and the wider industry.

Ofsted’s comprehensive report further highlights the institution’s dedication to the growth of its apprentices, emphasizing that apprentices “quickly develop deep and complex new knowledge and practical skills.” Additionally, the report reveals that three-fifths of students pass their assessments on the first attempt, and approximately four-fifths are expected to successfully complete their apprenticeships this year.

Professional Apprenticeships’ leaders work closely with employers to create an ambitious curriculum that caters to the unique needs of each apprentice, and tutors collaborate effectively with employers to plan and deliver a well-structured training program. This meticulous approach ensures that apprentices make substantial progress from their starting points, setting them on the path to a bright and promising future.
