University of Bristol launches IKEEP program with aim to empower charities
Charities and social enterprises seeking support for their projects now have an exciting opportunity with the Intrapreneurial Knowledge Exchange Programme (IKEEP) launched by the University of Bristol. The program invites organisations to collaborate with a team of three dedicated students for a four week project of their choice, free of charge.
Scheduled for the next round in June, IKEEP provides a unique chance for non-profits to benefit from the cutting edge insights and skills of university students. Each student commits 70 hours to the project, with the university covering their stipends. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and the social sector, fostering innovation and fresh perspectives within charitable organisations.
The range of projects that students can tackle is extensive, covering disciplines such as competitor analysis, market research, marketing campaigns, digital tools, business plans for market expansion, and sustainability audits with action plans. The students have undergone comprehensive training, equipping them with problem solving, critical thinking, and business strategy skills.
To participate, organisations only need to invest their time in creating a project brief and collaborating with the students throughout the project delivery. The University of Bristol encourages interested parties to apply before the closing date on April 19, 2024, via the online application form. For those seeking more information or wishing to discuss the program further, they can reach out to the university at careers-sme-engagement@bristol.ac.uk.
Even if organisations are not ready to apply immediately, they can express their interest in future events to ensure they stay informed about upcoming opportunities. IKEEP exemplifies the University of Bristol’s commitment to community engagement and fostering mutually beneficial collaborations between academia and the charitable sector.
