Wake The Tiger appoints Grundon as waste management partner

By Miles Arnold  Wednesday May 1, 2024

Wake The Tiger, the interactive amazement park experience on Albert Road, has selected Grundon as its waste management partner in its quest for B-Corp certification. Founded in July 2022 by the minds behind the renowned Boomtown Festival, Wake The Tiger has already attracted over 300,000 visitors with its captivating blend of immersive exhibits.

The decision to switch waste management providers stemmed from recurring issues with the previous service, including missed collections during the bustling Easter weekend. With aspirations for B-Corp status – an esteemed accreditation for businesses prioritising positive stakeholder impact – the management sought a reliable partner aligning with their sustainability goals.

Nick Malvern, Grundon’s Bristol sales manager, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasising the necessity for meticulous waste data management in Wake The Tiger’s journey. “We’re thrilled to support Wake The Tiger’s pursuit of B-Corp status,” Malvern stated. “Effective waste management is integral to organisational functionality and public perception.”

Established in Bristol since 2020, Grundon has championed sustainability initiatives, including the introduction of a £300k electric collection vehicle. With a track record spanning major events like Royal Ascot and partnerships with sporting clubs such as Forest Green Rovers, Grundon brings a wealth of experience to Wake The Tiger’s sustainability journey.
