We The Curious joins forces with catering partners with ‘climate conscious’ menus
With commitment to sustainability as a core value, We The Curious has teamed up with Double Puc, Kate’s Kitchen, Picnic, and Relish to create climate-conscious menus that align with its values of environmental responsibility and community support.
Located in the heart of Bristol, near the Millennium Square, We The Curious hosts hundreds of events each year across its dynamic spaces, from the iconic Planetarium to two floors of exhibition space.
These events range from conferences and talks to weddings, festivals, and award ceremonies. Now, with its reopening in July after the devastating fire in April 2022, the venue is setting a new standard for sustainable catering with its four handpicked partners.
In line with its mission to reduce its carbon footprint, We The Curious has ensured that all catering partners provide menus that are both delicious and environmentally conscious.

Each of the partners offers a climate-conscious approach, focusing on plant-based options, minimising the use of beef and lamb, and ensuring any meat, fish, and dairy are ethically sourced, organic, and free-range.
Local suppliers are also at the heart of the offering, helping to further reduce the carbon footprint of the catering operations.
Annette Hawker, venue hire manager at We The Curious, is excited about the new catering options. She said, “It’s been fantastic to reopen with such a diverse catering offer.
“We wanted to work with caterers who truly align with our values and support local, independent businesses. The feedback has been great, and we’re looking forward to a busy festive season.”

The initiative also empowers clients to choose the caterer that best suits their event needs, whether it’s for a formal conference or a relaxed wedding reception. With a range of budgets and tastes catered for, We The Curious ensures that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to event catering.
One of the caterers selected, Kate’s Kitchen, has recently won the UK’s only Food for Life Served Here Gold corporate menu accreditation.
During its closure, the charity continued its educational work, delivering over 300 free activities to thousands of children, young people, and adults in local schools and communities.
