Jewellery made from ashes of loved ones

By Rachel Sutherland  Tuesday Jan 10, 2023

After losing someone, keeping something of theirs close to you can bring comfort.

Bereaved people in Bristol can carry a little piece of their loved and lost one, wherever they go with memorial jewellery, offered by Westerleigh Cemetery & Crematorium.

The crematorium in Westerleigh, which has just celebrated its 30th anniversary, has partnered up with EverWith, to create a range of jewellery made from the ashes of loved ones.

Bereaved people can choose from a range of jewellery including, rings, bracelets, earrings, pendants and necklaces and cufflinks.

The cost of a ring ranges from £165.00 to £215.00, depending on which material you choose. The price of memorial bracelets cost anywhere between £109.00 and £140.00.

Westerleigh Cemetery & Crematorium site manager Shaun Chapman-Young said: “We are very pleased to be working with one of the UK’s largest memorial jewellery companies.

“A big part of grieving is finding a way to honour and keep their loved one with them.

“Creating a piece of jewellery with their ashes, whether it is a ring, bracelet, earrings, charm bead or cufflinks, will provide them with a personal keepsake to forever cherish.

“Anyone with the ashes of their loved one, even if their service did not take place in our crematorium, can still contact us to learn more about how their ashes can be used to create a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery.”

As Westerleigh Crematorium does not provide cremation services for pets, anyone who has the ashes of their pet and would like piece of jewellery made in their memory, should contact EverWith directly.
