Bringing black professionals together to support a post-Covid recovery
The team behind Black Professionals Network are rolling out the red carpet for their first in-person event in two years.
The aim is for black and brown people in business to come together and support each other on the road to recovery from the pandemic through networking, collaboration and sharing ideas.
Taking place on Thursday, December 16 from 6pm, the black tie event will celebrate the resilience of communities in Bristol in the face of immense challenges.
It will also acknowledge the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on ethnic minority communities and seek to harness the collective influence, resources and networks of professionals to help the recovery process.

“This event is a chance for us to begin to unite our community of black and ethnic minority professionals to support each other on the road to recovery from this pandemic, through networking, collaboration and sharing ideas,” explains Kiki Paddy, marketing and operations lead for Black Professionals Network.
“Given the events of the last 18 months or so, it’s important for us to recognise the disproportionate challenges our black and brown communities have faced during this pandemic, and to celebrate the resilience our community has shown in the face of such challenges. That’s why we’re rolling out the red carpet for this event to re-connect with our members and the community we serve.”
Organisers are encouraging everyone attending the event to do a lateral flow test 48 hours before the event, and take precautions throughout the evening.
