Bristol company produces Super Bowl backdrop
A graphics company based in Spike Island produced the visuals for Coldplay’s half time set at the Super Bowl, one of the most watched TV segments on the planet.
SHOP specialises in screen content for TV and music events. Founded in 2013 by Neil Harris and Tom Hodgkinson, SHOP has since worked with acts including One Direction, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora, as well as Big Brother, National Television Awards, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and The X Factor.
“As a small independently run team, we are incredibly proud to be a part of Super Bowl 50 – celebrating the 50th Super Bowl half time show. It’s great to be involved in such a high profile event that will be seen by 100’s of millions of people.” says studio manager Ella Riggs.
The collaboration led from previous work with the band: “We were approached by Coldplay’s management team as we had made content for the launch of their album ‘A Headful of Dreams’ and, once it was announced that [they] were performing on the Superbowl, we were asked to put forward ideas for their set.”
The team are now turning their attention to The BRIT Awards where they will be designing the look for the show as well as producing visuals for the performing artists including The Weeknd, Little Mix and Justin Bieber. To see more of SHOP’s work go to weareshop.co.uk.
