Bristol startup named finalist in regional awards
A Bristol-based consultancy franchise has been named as a finalist in a regional awards ceremony.
Little Dreams Consulting & Franchise has made the shortlist for the Consumer Services StartUp of the Year category of the South West England StartUp Awards.
Founded by Jenna Wilson and Fay Smith, Little Dreams is the UK’s first and only baby sleep consultancy franchise accredited by the British Franchise Association.
The firm addresses parental sleep deprivation by offering evidence-based and ethical solutions while still being practical and outcome-focussed.
Jenna said the duo are “absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted amongst so many prestigious startups.”
“The awareness that something like this can bring to the business is absolutely tremendous. And if it means we become known by – and can therefore help – more people, even better!”

Fay added: “Jenna and I have backgrounds in traumatic professional children’s services and, therefore, we’ve always been focussed on long-term solutions rather than firefighting.
“Our business has been purpose built by a business-savvy, analytical, extremely proficient team with skills covering all aspects of business, mental health, law and the science of sleep. But we also care deeply about the families we support.
“We’ve each been there in one form or another and understand the importance and the impact of our work. It’s no exaggeration to say that we change people’s lives.”
Little Dreams was set up by Jenna in 2016, with Fay joining the team in 2019, ahead of its franchise opportunity launching in 2021.
The firm, which currently has four franchises, is also a finalist in the Encouraging Women into Franchising Awards in the category of New Franchisor of the Year.
The winners of The StartUp Awards, which were first launched in 2022, will be announced during a ceremony at Propyard in Bristol on June 15.
