‘We want to see Bristol continue to thrive as a prosperous place for businesses’
Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District has recently welcomed four new members to its advisory board, representing the nighttime economy, hospitality, retail and leisure sectors.
The appointments include representatives from The Bristol Hotel, No 1 Harbourside, Restore and the Mother’s Ruin.
David Foley, managing director of DJ Foley Property Consultants, has been appointed as the new chair of the advisory board.

The new advisory board members are:
- Marc Griffith, managing director of World Famous Dive Bars – who run the newly reopened Colosseum in Redcliffe and also the Mother’s Ruin on St Nicholas Street
- Mehmet Kandemir, general manager at the Bristol Hotel
- Jeremy Kynaston, managing director of No 1 Harbourside
- Emma Linzel, brand and retail director at Spoke & Stringer and Restore
Foley said: “I’m really proud to be continuing my involvement with the BID in this new role as chair of the board.
“Collectively, we want to see Bristol continue to thrive as a cultural destination and as a safe and prosperous place for businesses to operate.”
Vicky Lee, director of Bristol City Centre BID, added: “It’s so important to us that our business community is adequately and fairly represented on our advisory board.
“Our four new members are very welcome additions to an already exceptional team.”
