Co-working space unexpectedly closes after six years
A B-Corp certified co-working space has closed down one of its locations.
Future Leap, hailed as the only carbon-neutral co-working space in Bristol, pulled down the shutters of its site on Gloucester Road for the final time at the end of January.
The site had been a sought-after co-working hub for businesses, charities and freelancers.
It was equipped with around 70 desks, conference rooms, a communal kitchen and a back garden.
The 1930s Art Deco building was a Maplin shop for many years and became the site for Future Leap’s flagship co-working space in 2019, with Bristol24/7 also previously using it as our base before we moved to the top floor of the Tobacco Factory

Future Leap founder and managing director, Alan Bailey, thanked Gloucester Road’s past patrons, and stressed that Future Leap’s Clifton site on Oakfield Road will remain open and continue to serve as a networking hub.
Bailey said: “Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey.
“Whether you’ve worked as a co-worker, attended events, bought something from the retail space or simply supported us along the way, your involvement has been invaluable.
“What a special project to have built together and shared with a community of like-minded people and businesses.”
