Husband-and-wife owned campervan hire scoops national award
A Bristol-based campervan hire company has excelled in a recent nationwide award ceremony that recognises excellence in customer service.
Quirky Campers, based near Easton, has secured a major industry accolade, beating some household names in the process for “its commitment to outstanding customer service.”
Quirky Campers won the “CX Team of the Year – Small to Medium Enterprise (SME)” award at the UK Customer Experience Awards (UK CXAs), held at Wembley Stadium in October.
Recognised for celebrating excellence in customer experience, the UK CXA prides itself as an international platform for “hardworking companies to receive industry recognition”.

Founded in 2010, Quirky Campers is owned by the husband-and-wife team, David and Lindsay Berresford, who started off with one van, Bella.
The firm has quickly grown into one of the UK’s leading campervan hire services, offering a selection of vehicles for a variety of activities ranging from quiet getaways to embracing festival fever.
Lindsay Berresford, co-founder of Quirky Campers, said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have won this award, especially when up against such well-established brands.
“It’s a real testament to the hard work and passion of our Customer Service Team, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure that both our campervan owners and customers have the best possible experience. The competition was incredibly tough, and to come out on top against household names like Protein Works and EasyJet Holidays is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

The areas the firm has worked on over the past year include efficient call handling.
“In the past year, our team has halved call response times, dramatically improved owner relations, and reduced cancellations, all while enhancing the overall customer experience,” she said.
“Their work in onboarding and training new van owners has helped us maintain a stellar 4.94-star rating. This award is a true reflection of their extraordinary efforts, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.”
With “Rooms with thousand views” as their motto, the firm caters for major cultural events such as Glastonbury Festival, Creamfields Festival, Isle of Wight Festival and their own festival, Camp Quirky.
