Jobs saved as firm bought out of administration
A Bristol-based cleaning company has been bought by a London-registered firm, saving 70 jobs.
Commercial cleaners Ecoserv Group purchased Proficient Cleaning just 48 hours after it went into administration.
Jean-Henri Beukes, chief executive of Ecoserv, said the acquisition will “strengthen our existing operation within the South West of England”.
“We look forward to our new colleagues joining the business and working closely with the company’s customers to best meet their cleaning needs.”
Simon Carvill-Biggs, partner at FRP and joint administrator of Proficient Cleaning, added that his primary focus was to try and secure the ongoing employment for the firm’s 70 staff.
“I am very pleased that we achieved that outcome, ensuring also that continuity of service remained for the clients.”
Proficient Cleaning was founded in 1994 and cleans for a range of sectors, including healthcare, education and sports and leisure.
