Make cocktails at home with kits sent to your door
Cocktail lovers can get experimental behind the bar, thanks to a new business based in Bristol.
Limewedge, which operates nationwide, delivers cocktail boxes with all the elements needed to make drinks such as Grand Mimosas, Piña Colada and Pornstar Martinis.
Founded by Chris Mead during lockdown, the business offers one-off cocktail boxes for four or six drinks, or three, six- and 12-month subscriptions.
“I’ve always loved making someone’s day by introducing them to a new cocktail or flavour combination” explains Chris, who recently quit his job as a finance manager.
“Lockdown has meant we’ve taken that experience into our own houses and shared drinks with friends and family over Skype. Experimenting is brilliant but buying big bottles of spirits is expensive and is also a gamble.”

Founder of Limewedge Chris Mead is a qualified account, as well as a cocktail fan
Chris hopes that Limewedge will offer an alternative and give more people the chance to experiment with the art of cocktail making. Each box also comes with a recipe card, with step by step instructions.
Chris, an ex-standup comedian, also shares tips and tricks through Instagram videos.
“Limewedge is designed to be an affordable way to try new combinations without having to invest in big bottles of spirits that gather dust,” says Chris. “I want each box to be an event, not just a beverage.”
