Oracle on the hunt for new tech start-ups
Internet giant Oracle has partnered with Bristol tech incubator, SETsquared, to deliver the UK chapter of Oracle’s Startup Cloud Accelerator programme.
Applications are open to ambitious tech start-ups, with five places available. Successful applicants will receive 6-months’ free business support from SETsquared – whose members have raised £36 million in investments so far this year – with guidance from the multiple entrepreneurs-in-residence. Oracle has committed to providing cloud credits, access to enterprise clients, their tech and product expertise.
“The value of start-ups in the tech industry is booming and Oracle recognises the importance of this to the global tech economy,” said SETsquared Bristol Centre Director Monika Radclyffe. “Roles are changing fast as corporates understand the need for innovation and, consequently, the opportunities that working with entrepreneurs uncovers.
“Through their startup programme, Oracle is giving back to the tech community by providing a fantastic chance for start-ups to use their expertise and through opening up connections between entrepreneurs and large, established enterprises. SETsquared Bristol is well placed to provide direct support and expertise to incubate start-ups in readiness for scaling up.”
