Popular takeaway hut celebrates decade in Bristol
An Indian family-run takeaway kiosk is marking a decade in business.
Bhola Wanti and Mohni Singh, the husband-and-wife duo behind Rana’s Dhaba Junction next to Primark in Broadmead, originally emigrated from India before opening the kiosk in 2013.
Since its inception ten years ago, Rana’s Dhaba has become a cherished establishment in Bristol, renowned for its authentic Indian cuisine at an affordable price range.
They serve everything from matar paneer and spring rolls to samosas and chicken biryani from the little hut.
Bhola and Mohni recently opened another takeaway, Sajan Sweets in Fishponds, and are hoping to open another restaurant in Horfield in the coming months, as well as continue their catering for corporate events and weddings.

Speaking to Bristol24/7, Jasmine Kaur, daughter of Bhola and Mohni, expressed her gratitude to the loyal patrons who have supported Rama’s Dhaba throughout its journey.
“We are immensely grateful for the love and support from the Bristol community. It’s been an incredible journey for us, and we’re thrilled to continue serving our customers.”
