Private client specialist law firm opens first South West office in Bristol
A law firm specialising in private client work has opened its first-ever South West office in Bristol.
Rothley Law, a Midlands-founded firm with branches in Leicester, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Reading, and Milton Keynes, is eyeing expansion into the South West with a new office at Finzels Reach.
The firm, which was formed in 2023 through the acquisition of Shoosmiths’ private client business, has rapidly grown and now serves a broad base of clients.
With a strong focus on private client law, Rothley Law specialises in sensitive and niche areas, including wealth protection, disputed wills and trusts, and Court of Protection matters.

The Bristol team will be led by partners Rebecca Bristow and Heledd Wyn, who are joined by associate solicitor Jess Evans and paralegal Carrie Hynes.
Commenting on the Bristol launch, Heledd Wyn said, “This is the first Rothley Law office in the South West, and we are incredibly excited to be here. We specialise in three main areas: estate planning for individuals and business owners, protecting vulnerable adults and children through our Court of Protection team, and assisting clients with inheritance disputes.”

Bristow is a professional deputy and partner who has worked with the team behind Rothley Law since doors opened nationally in June 2023.
Wyn who joined Rothley Law team in November is no stranger to Bristol’s legal community, having previously worked at Clarke Willmott and Shakespeare Martineau. She was also named “Lawyer of the Year” by Bristol Law Society in 2021.
The new office is located at the Clockwise Generator building in Finzels Reach, just a shot away from Bristol’s historic Cheese Lane Shot Tower.

“We understand that the work we do often involves difficult or complicated times in our clients’ lives, and our people-centric, empathetic approach reflects this,” concluded Wyn.
