Propyard to host 2022 Blue Earth Summit
This year’s Blue Earth Summit will be held in Bristol, after being heralded as a massive success last year.
The summit, which will take place on October 11-13, aims to initiate widespread sustainable changes in the workplace by bringing together a community of business professionals looking to make a positive impact and affect change at their place of work.
Described as “a breakthrough business event with a difference”, Blue Earth Summit hopes to harness the power of the outdoors to inspire sustainable mindsets and foster meaningful connections.
Picked for it’s green credentials, Bristol was an obvious choice, having been named a European Green Capital in 2015, whilst Propyard has been selected for its own sustainability successes, putting environmental and social issues at the heart of its business model.

The summit’s programme features 70 speakers and has 20 workshops on offer, promoting knowledge sharing on crucial topics such as purpose-led business, energy transition and youth inclusion.
In the hopes of covering all bases, the summit will not only cover core themes such as energy transition, diversity, youth and inclusion, but it will also look at Bristol’s more large-scale events such as the Harbour Festival and Tokyo World, in order to highlight the need for companies to work collaboratively together towards a net-zero future.
There will also be a Pitch Tent, where businesses can pitch to leading investment firms in a bid to increase their visibility and gain crucial funding.

New speakers this year include ocean racer Pip Hare and activist Poppy Stowell-Evans, alongside leading brands such as Rab and Aqua Libra.
Returning headline speakers including Sir Tim Smith, from the Eden Project, Hugo Tagholm from Surfers Against Sewage, and Kresse Wesling CBE from Elvis & Kresse.
Be it well-established businesses or independent companies, investors and adventurers, the focus for the weekend will be on putting sustainability at the forefront of the business world.
For the summit’s final day, attendees will have the chance to visit The Wave, where they can run, swim and surf with the like-minded people they have met.
Will Hayler, Blue Earth Summit co-founder, said: “Networking can often be seen as a cynical exchange of business cards but the exchange of mutually beneficial ideas at last year’s summit was extraordinary. It was the first time so many people with shared visions and values had been able to connect in a business context. The energy and ideas both in the room and out in the open were amazing.”
