South Bristol cyber security firm wins major regional award

Dial A Geek, who are reaching their 18th year of operation, have bagged a major recognition at the SPARKies awards, the West Country’s celebration of movers and shakers in tech.

The York Street-based firm won the ‘Best Cyber Company’ award, seeing off competition from industry leaders including KETS Quantum Security, Stripe OLT and TR7.

The event took place on July 15 at Central Warehouse and was hosted by comedian Emmanuel Sonubi.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

“Winning the Best Cyber Company award is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication. We are grateful that our efforts to innovate and lead in the field of cyber security have been acknowledged.”

Dial A Geek’s recent accomplishments include sustained turnover and profit growth, achieving B Corp certification, and championing sustainable IT practices.

The company evolves to navigate the ever-changing cyber climate, becoming a Cyber Essentials and IASME Cyber Assurance certification body, and securing a position as a National Cyber Security Centre’s Assured Cyber Advisor.

“This recognition motivates us to continue pushing boundaries and setting higher standards in the cyber security field,” added Jones.

Tamsin Denbigh of Bristol’s SETsquared was also a winner, taking home the event’s ‘Awesome Human’ award.
