Wapping Wharf’s Loop Massage to expand and relocate to larger studio

By Robin Connolly  Monday Aug 2, 2021

Loop Massage is getting ready for their move from their current location in CARGO 2, Wapping Wharf, to a bigger unit on the ground floor of new development, Hope Quay.

Loop Massage is a studio offering “a little hub for busy humans to find a moment of calm, to breath and be,” where each treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs and which include holistic and deep tissue massage, as well as sports massage.

The move will allow the urban retreat to expand its treatment options and will include three treatment ‘pods’, each with their own identities: Linen, Birch and Clay.

Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Loop will also reuse some of the materials from their original studio in this process, including linen canopies, oak frames and birch screens.

Polly Meech, owner of Loop Massage said: “I am so excited about our move to Hope Quay and thrilled that we can remain as part of this neighbourhood we know and love.”

“The new spacious location will be a haven of tranquillity and will be carrying through the original CARGO spirit.”

“The new studio will allow us to add more practitioners and, in time, more wellness services, including reflexology and facials to our deep tissue and sports treatments.”

Wapping Warf is the home of over 40 independent businesses and strives to promote a community focussed ethos at the cultural heart of the city, connecting south Bristol and the city centre.

Hope Quay is one of two buildings that form the second phase of development at the site, which is also the location of CARGO, Bristol’s first retail space made of converted shipping containers.

Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade, the developer of Wapping Wharf, said: “I’m so pleased to see Loop Massage going from strength to strength at Wapping Wharf.”

“We always envisaged CARGO would be a place for new and emerging businesses to try out new ideas and concepts and it’s brilliant to see Polly’s venture having been so warmly received by the city.”

“Her very loyal customer base is testament to how much energy, enthusiasm and commitment she shows and we are sure the new Loop will be a resounding success.”
