Simple Things add new wave of artists to bill

By Oliver Evans  Tuesday Sep 6, 2016

Kano, Squarepusher, and Charlotte Church are among the list of new names to be added to Simple Things, Bristol’s biggest multi-venue festival.

Returning on October 22 and 23, Squarepusher is back performing in Bristol for the first time in three years presenting new project Shobaleader One.

With a Mercury nomination behind him, Kano will unleash the gritty brilliance of fifth album Made in the Mirror, while Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon is bringing alternative classics to a stage near you.

The lineup already boasts big names such as gloomy pop champions Warpaint, experimental hip-hop frontrunners Death Grips, and Metronomy – bringing their own brand of wonky funk in a DJ set.

Other notable additions include psych popstrels Flamingods, Bristol based indie rock group Idles, and Iglooghost, a UK producer approved by Flying Lotus, while the DJs include Nina Kraviz, Ben UFO and Helena Hauff.
