Josh Eggleton from the Michelin-starred Pony & Trap in Chew Magna opened the first Salt & Malt at Chew Valley Lake in 2015. He said: “It was always important that any other Salt & Malt locations would be by the water; it needed to have that waterfront, and community vibe and Cargo 2 is the perfect spot for that.”

Angharad Jackson, director of CUPP Bubble Tea, said: “We’re excited about opening our second bubble tea shipping container in Bristol at Cargo… Serving our bubble teas at this unique and innovative retail space is what makes Cargo so appealing and exciting.”

The businesses are due to open as early as January, with phase two of Wapping Wharf including more than 320 new homes also coming in the new year.
