Deflation for Luke Jerram as replica moon tears
It was due to be one of the main attractions of this year’s Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
But the world premiere of Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon sadly didn’t go to plan and the 7m-diameter inflatable model of the moon which took six months to make will no longer be appearing at the festival.
Unfortunatly, due2high winds Moon suffered a rip, so needed 2b taken down for analysis back at the manufacturers. Sorry Bristol 🙁

“The moon will return,” tweeted Jerram, responsible for Park Street’s water slide and the boats in Leigh Woods.
He added: “I was over the moon, but now I’m just deflated.”
The high winds meant that the planned mass ascent on Thursday evening was also cancelled.
The night glow did take place as scheduled, however, with a fireworks display at the conclusion of the evening’s entertainment.
