Exhibition offers unique perspectives on human and natural worlds
Domestic and exotic animals, wind-torn landscapes, the wild nature of the everyday and up-close micro-fauna are just some of the images to feature in a photography exhibition coming to Bristol this month.
‘Confluence’ showcases work on the convergence of human stories and the natural world, created by Falmouth University’s 2024 graduates of Marine and Natural History Photography.
The photographs, which promise to offer thoughts on identity, culture and the beauty of the everyday in an array of styles, will be on show at the Centrespace gallery from June 1-5.

An orangutan behind bars, by Jonah Oliver Holmes
“This creative collective prides itself on storytelling,” says Jonah Oliver Holmes, a photographer and documentary maker with a focus on the wildlife tourism industry and illegal pet trade.
“Each piece of work offers a glimpse into a new perspective through photography and film. The exhibition is a celebration of the boundless possibilities of photography and the power of visual storytelling.
The work on display is part of the student’s major projects, and each tells a story in a unique way.
“The students are all keen conservationists and naturalists,” adds Jonah. “You will see this in the work on display.”
