32 amazing photos of Upfest 2017

Bedminster and Southville were once again transformed as Upfest splashed paint across swathes of south Bristol.

More than 450 artists from all over the world, many Bristol-based, descended on the city to celebrate all that is great about street art and paint live in front of huge crowds across the weekend.

This year celebrated a special anniversary for one of Bristol’s best-known characters – Aardman Animations’ Morph. Bristol’s very own Cheo painted a number of murals around North Street, including in a prime spot on Bristol Beer Factory.

The largest canvas, the wall of the Tobacco Factory, was painted by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra, whose technicolour portrait of John Lennon was finished on Saturday afternoon.
