BS4 Arts Trail returns to Knowle, Brislington and St Anne’s

By Sarski Anderson  Monday Jun 3, 2024

Returning after a successful inaugural year in 2023, in mid-June the BS4 Arts Trail will once more be welcoming visitors to explore the creative communities of south east Bristol.

Dotted around Knowle, Brislington and St Anne’s, 85 artists and makers in 28 venues will be introducing visitors to their work, opening up their homes and studios and inspiring others to try their hand at a variety of creative pursuits.

A range of community spaces will also be opening their doors for the weekend, including Hop Union Brewery, St Luke’s Church Hall, Bocabar and – new for this year – The Glass Loft.

Visitors to the trail are encouraged to explore the green spaces in this leafy suburb of the city, as well as stopping off at the many food and drink spots along the way.

Organisers are hoping that the event will connect artists with new audiences for their work, as well as putting the area firmly on the map for people who may not be so familiar with what it has to offer.

“It’s a great opportunity to take a stroll through the area,” they say, “and discover local artists in their natural environments, from custom studios to kitchen tables!”

Helping everyone to get the most out of the weekend, St Anne’s House will also be holding an open studios event, and a Saturday market will be taking place at Brislington Hill, packed with community stalls.

The BS4 Arts Trail is on June 15-16 at 10am-4pm. For more information, visit www.bs4artstrail.co.uk or follow @bs4artstrail. Free trail maps can be collected from These Two Hands, Brislington.
