Centrespace Open Studios returns
Nestled up a side street in the heart of Bristol’s Old City, Centrespace Gallery is a beloved haven, both for art fans who seek it out, and visitors who are lucky enough to stumble upon it.
Originally occupied by artists in the late 1970s, the building has been running as a co-operative since 1987, and now comprises studios for over 30 artists, alongside gallery, exhibition and workshop spaces.
In its first Open Studios since 2019, Centrespace will be throwing open its doors on October 14-16, giving people the chance to meet some of the artists and craft makers who make up this thriving creative community.
is needed now More than ever
From illustrators and graphic designers to upholsterers; printmakers and animators to environmental architectural designers; fine artists to contemporary craft makers and more, the weekend will be replete with opportunities to ask questions and glimpse the process behind the artworks.
Alongside the open studios, this year’s event will feature talks, animations and films, an exclusive ticketed party on the Saturday night, and an art raffle on the Sunday afternoon.
Sustainable Italian food pop-up Cibomatto will be on hand throughout the weekend.
Proceeds from the weekend will go towards installing a ventilation system in the downstairs event space, The Chocolate Factory, in order to ensure it is a safe and comfortable venue for future courses and events.
