Clara D presents: Inspired by Women
Bristol-based artist Clara D has put together a night of art, music and poetry for a special event she has described as ‘an elixir to the misrepresentation of women in history and in the media’.
Inspired by Women is an exhibition of original portraits of empowering women from Maya Angelou to Kathleen Neal Cleaver, as well as friends and family who have inspired her.
The night also features a line-up of female-fronted music including RatBag, The Piratones and Kimberly Newell, who will be delivering a mix of ska, hip hop, punk, gypsy, jungle and soul.
There will also be an open mic with guest MCs, singers and spoken word poetry.
