Ages 16-30: kickstart your creative career with PAPER Arts

By Steve Wright  Tuesday Mar 7, 2017

PAPER Arts, the Bristol social enterprise that aims to empower young creatives to pursue a career in the arts, has announced the return of its Creative Advice Bureau.

Aimed at those aged 16-30 wanting to kickstart or develop their creative career, the Bureau offers one-to-one mentoring and advice to help young people reach their full creative potential.

PAPER Arts explain the scheme thus: “Are you trying to develop your own creative business, do you want to find work in the creative sector, or perhaps you just enjoy creating, and want to see if you can make money from your skills? Whatever your goal is, we offer the support you need to make your creative ambitions a reality!

“This is your chance to sit down with a mentor for an hour-long session, and get advice on how to make money from what you love to do: create! We offer advice on everything from making a stand out creative CV that will help you land your dream job, to information on managing your finances as a freelancer, and how to market your work online, to creating a portfolio that will wow clients and prospective employers.”

The opportunity is free for 16-24-year-olds: those aged 25-30 can book a session for just £10.
To book, you can download an interest form here and email the completed form to grace@paperarts.org.uk
