‘Inside Feelings’ at Centrespace: a group exhibition of 18 established local illustrators
Coming to Centrespace Studios & Gallery for six days in May, Inside Feelings brings together a group of illustrators in the South West, all of whom came up together in the Bristol art scene.
Curated by Clare Owen, whose work is also featured in the collection, the exhibition features 18 established local illustrators working in their own unique styles and across a range of media, from collage to ceramics.
Intended to be an exploration of our internal landscapes and emotional truths, the work shown invites visitors to find moments of introspection amidst the commotion and noise of modern life.

“The exhibition came about as a means of changing up my daily practice and doing something new,” says Owen.

“I wanted an opportunity to collaborate with my talented pals and putting on this show seemed like the perfect way to do that.
“It seemed to me as though everyone is going through it in one way or another at the moment, and making work that talked about our feelings could be a great way to exorcise that. I hope in turn we can create a dialogue with the people who come to see what we have made.”
