Those are the words of a poster that has appeared on Stokes Croft and whose mysterious provenance is getting tongues wagging.

The poster has been pasted onto the billboard overlooking Turbo Island.

Turbo Island is the name given to the patch of land on the corner of Stokes Croft and Jamaica Street – photo: Martin Booth

The poster was put up by workmen dressed in orange hi-vis, who used a cherry picker attached to the back of a small lorry.

Is it a Banksy? Umm, no.

“Is it a Banksy?” is the classic question whenever a piece like this appears in Bristol – photo: Martin Booth

The poster has actually been crowdfunded by members of the All ravers are going straight to hell Facebook page.

In the crowdfunder, which raised £1,280, Ry Botnik said: “wud be jokes to put up a billboard on turbo island init trust”

The poster is due to stay in place for a fortnight.
