New multi-sensory installation set to transform city centre
An immersive and interactive walk-through experience “where art and technology collide” is coming to the city centre.
Yuup and creative media producers PYTCH are revamping the Friary Building at Cabot Circus into an interactive audiovisual installation with their Lumosphere event.
The team at PYTCH has previously delivered a popular winter light trail in 2023 and contributed to the much-loved Bristol Light Festival.

Visitors are invited to “hear incredible soundscapes and gaze into extraordinary projections within this other-worldly installation”.

As part of a recent launch event a Lumosphere projection lit up Lloyds Amphitheatre
Johnny Palmer, PYTCH founder, said that the installation will be “a truly amazing experience that will excite the senses and ignite the soul”.
Dominic Mills, CEO of Yuup, added: “We can’t wait for Bristol to experience Lumosphere this summer; it promises to be an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Sarah Tinsley, director of marketing & placemaking at Hammerson, said: “Introducing art and culture is just one of the innovative ways we are evolving our assets, including Cabot Circus, from places where people come only to shop to ‘destinations’, offering a real mix of social experiences.
“Bristol is renowned for its daring and colourful art scene, so we’re excited to be able to celebrate this creativity and engage customers in a fun and innovative way.”
A taste of what to come was provided on Thursday evening as the team projected parts of the show across historic Lloyd’s Amphitheatre and the Friary Building to celebrate the launch of ticket sales for the summer event.
Lumosphere runs from July 26 to August 16. For more information and tickets, visit yuup.co/lumosphere
