New mural pays tribute to Mother Nature

By Martin Booth  Friday Aug 20, 2021

The true king of the jungle now looks down over shoppers in Kingswood.

The tiger by Andrew Burns Colwill has been painted on the side of tattoo parlour Ink Box on the corner of Regent Street and Downend Road.

For many years the building was an estate agents, with its gable end offering Burns Colwill a blank canvas.

‘Mother Nature… Xxx’ wrote Burns Colwill on Instagram when introducing the piece.

The tiger has her mouth open and inside it the Earth, which the artist was putting the finishing touches to soon after midday on Thursday.

To the right of the animal is a tattoo machine and a pair of gloved hands.
