Pinpointing the specific colours of Bristol
Bristol is officially one of the most colourful cities in the world.
But have you ever wondered exactly what colours are painted on the houses in Cliftonwood overlooking the Floating Harbour? Or the colours of the bunting hung across the roads in Southville to celebrate VE day?
A new Instagram account does exactly that, using Pantone colour cards to reveal the spectrum of Bristol’s rainbow.

@BristolColours is the work of Felicity, who is in her mid-20s, lives in the city centre and works in the television industry.

“I’ve always wanted to set up a photography page and I was inspired by my mother who is an interior designer so the idea came about when she had all her colour swatches out and I thought it would be fun to match the colours to all the colourful places in and around Bristol,” Felicity told Bristol24/7.
“I enjoy running so I spot some of the places on my runs and others I’m already aware of. So I often discover them.”

“I love all the colourful houses in Cliftonwood and the street art on North Street and in Bedminster.
“I love bright colours and I previously lived in Brighton which is good competitions to Bristol with being a colourful city so I’ve always had an interest in it.
“Bristol is a perfect place for this because it is such a colourful place and famous for it!”
