UK’s largest youth-led creative group announces latest show
FUZE has seen an impressive expansion since its humble beginnings as a student society.
The not-for-profit organisation has created some of the city’s largest music, fashion and dance shows in recent years and is entirely youth-led.
Its latest show, Genesis, is set to feature a cast of over 180 young people led by young creative volunteers and promises to push the limits of self-expression, creativity and performance.

Since September 2021, the organisation has put on a variety of events including their launch in London, the Halloween event Haus of Horrors and their most recent Valentines Tour.

Last year’s sell-out show, UTOPIA, was met with a standing ovation as dancers, singers, musicians and performers took to the stage in an energy-fuelled immersive experience packed with cutting-edge light shows, costumes and set designs.
This year, GENESIS promises to be even more thrilling – celebrating the organisation’s core values and taking its audience on “a journey to explore the beauty of creativity, inclusion and diversity through fashion, music and dance as we search for Utopia.”
The creative community that has evolved from FUZE has made the organisation widely popular in Bristol and beyond.

FUZE describes its shows as rooted in supporting young people. As a not-for-profit charity, the organisation promotes and raises money for issues facing young people such as racial discrimination, homophobia, transphobia and mental health through their ‘experiential’ events.
The team works with charities such as Black South West Network and Off the Record, and have raised over £125,000 for charities in two years.
Internally, FUZE fosters young creative talent, with many of its founders progressing to the music and arts industries, working as creative directors, artists and young professionals.
FUZE’s music director, Guy Ripper, has compiled the music roster for this year’s show. After scouting and auditioning a vast array of talent, he’s confident that this year’s eclectic set of musicians are going to thrive on stage.
Ripper said: “Some of Bristol’s finest up and coming talent such as Mercy’s Cartel, Try Me, Ed Staal and Badliana will be debuting brand new tracks – it will not be one to miss.”
GENESIS will take place on June 16 and 17 at Lakota.
