Upfest 2024: full lineup announced
Bedminster is set to be decorated with more than 200 artworks and murals next month by a series of international artists and homegrown talent, as Upfest returns in a new format.
Now titled Upfest Presents, the festival that took a break last year, will run over the course of two weeks with a series of workshops, comedy, theatre and tours, as well as the creation of swathes of street art across the south Bristol neighbourhood.
Among those artists announced is Bristol’s own Inkie and HazardOne who made the Guardian’s top five UK women in graffiti, and Japanese-American painter Audrey Kawasaki. They will join previously announced Mister Samo at the festival.

The artwork will span the BS3 postcode, from the stretch of independent businesses that is North Street to skater’s paradise, Dean Lane.
Local artist Jody, whose mural of Greta Thunberg among the melting ice-caps sits on the side of the Tobacco Factory, will also be contributing to Upfest Presents.

The team behind the free, two-week festival, which previously only ran over a weekend, are fundraising until the end of this week to fund ten per cent of their overall costs.
With backing from Arts Council England being a significant source of funding, Upfest said about the fundraiser that “the more money raised, the more events, murals and activities that will be created as part of the programme”.
Upfest Presents… runs from May 17 to June 2.
