Bristol author’s 10th book published

By Joanna Papageorgiou  Thursday Feb 11, 2016

Just seven months after the publication of her eighth book, Bristol author Amanda Prowse is publishing her tenth, Another Love. In between was Christmas Café and all these alongside four short stories, only five years after her first book was self-published.

Her recent book A Mother’s Story won the Sainsbury’s e-Book of the Year Award 2015, with Perfect Daughter chosen as one of 15 titles to be given away on World Book Night 2016.

Her latest novel Another Love is based in Bristol and follows the story of Romilly whose alcohol addiction has led to the destruction of her family. Prowse herself has been teetotale since her 20s.

She uses this latest story to examine the effect of alcohol addiction on families. That glass of wine at night to unwind becomes a bottle and one bottle becomes two for some women.

“We are experiencing nothing short of a national crisis in the UK because of alcohol,” say the all party parliamentary group on alcohol misuse.

Another Love is published in hardback by Head of Zeus on February 11, 2016.
