Bristol Festival of Literature 2015

By Lou Trimby  Thursday Oct 1, 2015

The volunteer run Bristol Festival of Literature 2015 is hosting sixteen events between October 15 and 24. The events include spoken word shows, writing workshops, and author events.

Author events include writers such as novelist Patricia Ferguson, crime writer Sarah Hilary and Jamaican British poet Raymond Antrobus. Local writers and performers and new writers are also appearing at events including An Evening At The Fear Institute, Written From Art, the Launch Party, Unreliable Histories, the Speakeasy and a Flash Fiction slam hosted by novelist Nikesh Shukla.

Chair and founder of the festival Jari Moate said: “We simply love sharing literature that’s made with warmth, good humour and great artistry. We see audiences delighted by the power of words in ways they didn’t expect.”

There are free events programmed too, details of which can be found on the website unputdownable.org.

The Festival Launch Party will be hosted at Watershed’s Café Bar on Oct 17th, 8pm, and is free to attend.

Tickets are available via Bristol Ticket Shop or free via eventbrite.
