Kickstarter campaign for Me, Myself and Eye

By Joanna Papageorgiou  Sunday May 10, 2015

Being born blind in one eye is not the strangest thing to happen to Bristolian, Dan Jeffries. He has gone from rare illness to rare illness and is now launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund a book and web app so he can share his no-holds barred story. He is doing this in order to raise awareness of conditions most people will never have heard of and while he tells his story in a funny, honest and thought-provoking way.  There is also a web app  to accompany the book, with pictures, documents, music and video , which will provide a unique reading experience.

Originally from Weston super Mare, he has lived in central Bristol since 1999 and went to school at QEH. He knew he had Wyborn-Mason syndrome, one of the rarest eye conditions known yet, but then in his 20s discovered more that was going wrong with him. Now at 38, he has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise £3000 in order to publish his book, Me, Myself and Eye, and increase awareness of all the medical conditions he has to deal with.

From his days at QEH school to innumerable procedures at the BRI and Bristol Eye Hospital he uses his training from drama school to add a little creativity to his tale.
